National Museum of Science and Technology, Lahore was established as an autonomous body of Ministry of Education, Government of Pakistan under a Resolution passed on 26.04.1965.
It opened its doors to public in 1976 with only 50 exhibits on display.
Gradually more exhibit sections and galleries were added. Presently, it has 4-large galleries and over 500 exhibits are on display for visitors.
In the wake of 18th amendment this organization was handed over to School Education Department, Govt. of the Punjab and declared as its attached Department in 2011.
